ALEXANDRE FRANGIONI
(B. 1967) São Paulo, Brazil
Frangioni’s work explores social, economic, and political forces in both past and present societies, focusing on how values and memory shape the way we live.
He observes a growing gap between rapid technological change and the slower pace of human instinct and adaptation. This imbalance can affect how we make decisions and understand the world around us. In this context, people may find themselves navigating misinformation, cultural disconnection, and systems of economic and psychological control, which the artist refers to as a “psychological matrix.”
From this perspective, Frangioni reflects on how past actions continue to influence the present. To transform these thoughts into a conceptual visual language, the artists use a variety of materials and symbols, converting familiar objects to reveal new meanings.
Through his three-dimensional works, objects, and installations, he invites viewers to question how moral and social values within the systems shape contemporary collective life.
